Ban of Commercial Fur Trapping in California!

Advancing Law for Animals proudly joins a coalition of organizations supporting the Wildlife Protection Act of 2019 (California Assembly Bill 273), co-sponsored by Social Compassion in Legislation and Center for Biological Diversity. Authored by Assembly Member Lorenza Gonzalez-Fletcher, this critical piece of legislation ends commercial fur trapping in the beautiful state of California.

The Wildlife Protection Act of 2019 promotes healthy ecosystems, local economies, and science-based wildlife management by preventing the subsidized exploitation of our natural heritage for the international fur trade. Read the coalition letter in support of the Wildlife Protection Act of 2019 here.
